Join us for the first of many dialogues on Sustainable Living hosted by PA.NI X PORT. The conversation intends to inform the audience about different best practices in sustainable fashion today from ethical treatment of the workforce, sustainability in fashion technology, to the development of artisan communities and address questions that arise for everything in between. A short stimulating talk will be given at the beginning leading into a constructive discussion for creators and consumers (of fashion).

It enables women from low-income communities to question the baggage of societal norms, and to empower themselves financially through the vocation of fashion design. Through its emphasis on safe and labor laws-compliant factory space and wages, and an empathetic and equitable gender dynamic, MasterG aims to humanize the garment manufacturing supply chain, and uphold dignity in the industry through a three-pronged approach – MasterG Training Centres, the MasterG Studio, and the in-house brand, Heimat.

Bombay Hemp Company (BOHECO) is India’s premier industrial and medicinal cannabis company. BOHECO has entered into a formal partnership with CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) to develop varieties of industrial hemp and medicinal grade-cannabis towards developing sustainable standard genetics for Hemp’s large scale agronomic and industry adoption across India, under an official research license.

Fashion Revolution is now present is almost 100 countries and is volunteer lead. Darshana Gajare has been a part of Fashion Revolution India for almost 2 years and has a played a pivotal role in leading the campaign in Mumbai. Apart from this she is the Founder & CEO of Fairtrunk - a comprehensive platform to promote Sustainable Fashion & Lifestyle Brands.
 
Moderator: Jazzmine Raine
The co-founder of Hara House, north India's first zero waste guesthouse located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. They are a social enterprise and use 20% of revenue to provide resources and workshops to youth to get involved in social justice and environmental action. She is also the Director of Content at Causeartist, a platform that shares the stories of social innovators and changemakers across the world, specifically in the travel, tech and fashion industries. She’d be happy to use their platform to promote the event as well. Their South Asian audience is growing more and more as she works to share the stories of incredible entrepreneurs across the country, including in Nepal and Sri Lanka. When it comes to ethical fashion, she works with various brands helping with marketing and sustainability consulting, including Doodlage and REDO.
