First Edition Arts (FEA) in association with the G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture presents the Diwali Concert Series 2016 - a traditional day long, two-part Baithak, on October 16, 2016. An annual Hindustani classical music concert organized in the run up to Diwali, the series, curated and presented by FEA for the last 5 years, has featured some of the finest classical musicians of our times.

Sticking to tradition, the Diwali Concert Series 2016 will feature two excellent musicians, the vocalist Manjiri Asnare Kelkar and Sitar Maestro Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee. The perfect occasion for an immersive experience of Hindustani classical music on a relaxed Sunday. The intimate Black Box at G5A, is bound to bring back memories of a traditional baithak, based on proximity between artiste and listener and the intense rapport that develops between the two in the course of the concert. The ideal setting to foreground the distinctive artistry of these wonderful musicians.
