Reading Film #03: Teaspoon
Curated by: PTRC & G5A
Join us for READING FILM: a Psychoanalytical Training & Research Centre initiative at G5A.
The motive behind these events is to allow us to look at cinema from another eye, that of the mind. Here, instead of looking at the film-making aspects of the short, we will put a lens to the psychological and emotional motives of the characters. Some of India's most eminent psychoanalysts will analyze the films with the audience, revealing the possible inner workings and driving forces of the characters minds, from a psychoanalytic perspective.
The short films that will be screened have been carefully selected and will portray deeply engaging psychoanalytical concepts.
The third in the series is Aban Deohans's Teaspoon, that illustrates the burden of guilt.
This is a free of charge screening and we hope in this endeavour that those who attend will leave with some new perspectives on the various facets of the mind and possible insights on what makes us tick. We also hope that with more awareness about PTRC and what we can do, there may be more individuals who are able to seek and find the help that they may need.
Entry free and open to all above 18 years of age. To block your seat, register on BookMyShow.
